Here it is with and without a petticoat underneath. I just adore this and can’t wait for it to warm up so that I can wear it out!! I was very tempted to order a medium, but I ordered a small instead and I’m SO happy I did! I had read from some users (and seen in pics) that the waist had some extra space for some and they wished it had been tighter, so I took that advice and chose a size small. I do wish it were a bit shorter on me. I’m 5’2” and I wish it were a more true knee-length, but that’s minor. The fit is otherwise perfect and I’m so pleased that the chest and waist worked out and that I didn’t have to return for another size. Medium is kinda typical for me because of hips, but the small was perfect in this case because of waist and bust measurement. My best advice would be to think carefully about sizing down if you’re torn between two sizes. If you like a higher and more fitted waist like I do, sizing down might be with it!! Had the hips been tight I would have needed a medium, but I find this swing dress style to be forgiving. Love it, can’t wait to wear it for real.

I am tall so I did not expect the dress to reach my knees, which is totally fine. With a padded bra the top fit just fine, I am not busty in the slightest so it was a little loose in the chest area. The petticoat peeped out bthe bottom of the dress. I used it for Dapper Day at Walt Disney World. I paired it with saddle shoes and a white cardigan. It was super cute! I loved it. I definitely recommend it.

I got tons of compliments on this dress! Not on the costume, but the dress itself. It fit well and was a nice, thick fabric with a full circle skirt. It would look great with a crinoline underneath to give it a bit of volume but overall I am very pleased with this dress and surprised by how many people loved it and couldn't wait to tell me so! Also, it's quite comfortable and would look great on most body types!

LOVE this dress!! I've been looking for the perfect 1950's dress for a long time and this was it! I purchased the petticoat to go under it and it looks so full and beautiful. The dress still look great without the petticoat, just not as full. The fabric is soft, high quality and almost has a sheen to it. I am 4' 11 3/4" and 106lbs. The size small was a perfect fit for me. Will be purchasing this dress in other patterns/colors.
